EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) are the most prevalent form of EMS provider and are also known as EMTs. Many EMTs go on to receive an Advanced EMT credential or become a paramedic after learning the necessary skills to assist in life-threatening situations.

They spent and sacrifice precious time in the most volatile sequence of situations humanity has ever seen. For them, saving lives is more than just a career today, it's a name that distinguishes them within humanity. 

 Congratulations to those who have decided to enter. You are no longer the best deal, just a few steps from starting your job on the road to not only changing the lives of others but also influencing yourself. 

 Desiring to go and assist others is good, and being an EMT may be usually rewarding. However, there is some stuff you want to recognize earlier than you decide to be an emergency clinical technician.

 What You Need to Know Before You Become a Paramedic (EMT)

1. Learn What Emergency Medical Technician Jobs Entail 

 The first aspect you want to recognize before you turn out to be an emergency clinical technician is the character of the task.  2. You Must Have a College Certification Before You Become an Emergency Medical Technician

 On the surface, it appears that everyone who wants to be an emergency clinical technician is an ardor for the task and the willingness to assist others. 

 But there`s greater stuff than the choice to assist. 

 In different words, in case you need to paintings with paramedics and different clinical professionals, you want to be EMT certified. 

 To get a certification, you need to visit the university and cowl an EMT course, which generally runs for approximately 5 months.

The next step to getting your certification is to take practical skills exam and then work in a medical setting or a fire department for at least 2 days. It usually officially certified in just 21 days. However, such a short course is only  suitable  if you have prior knowledge of

 fire department for at least five days. Then the instructor will clear you for a computer-based NREMT test. 

3. Please note that some events may be out of your control. 

 Your mission as a Medic is to save lives by providing immediate front-line emergency response. The result is a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. 
 Sometimes, things can
 take the opposite direction. 
 Arrive at the scene too late, first aid fails, first responders are unable to revive the child you and the team pulled out of the pool, and people die. 
 I'm afraid to get bloody, but that means it's medicine. 

 Let's say this: 
 You can't always manage everything and you will sometimes be emotional. However, you must first ponder and understand what can happen with EMTs isn't new in the Field.

4. You must be properly dressed for work as an EMT.

 It was easy at first, You can walk to the emergency room in casual clothes. At that time, restricted clothing was casual, so someone could wear it as they wanted, thee rules were not strict. 
 The EMT field is evolving, but there are also dress requirements. It's not easy to characterize first responder dress codes, but today's dress codes need to be more professional than before, especially because of the different agency dress code rules. 

In fact to make things simple, Firstly before you leave for work, ask yourself, is my outfit considered professional by patients and colleagues? By doing so you wouldn't fall a victim of wrong dressing.

 At fire departments and medical facilities, rescuers need to wear more uniforms than civilian clothing. They get some similar uniforms and have to clean them often, after all, they are exposed to extreme conditions. In many cases, the uniforms you need should be made from the most durable material ever. This means choosing a durable, high-quality fabric and leaving a standard fabric uniform on the table. 

 Then there are shoes, which are a source of concern. Remember, EMT work takes you to places you've never been to,
How to dress and spear professionally as an EMT
 Clean your nails. When coloring (female) only neutral colors or French styles are allowed. 

 There are no open shoes for safety reasons. The exception is only on the night of the lecture for women returning from work in evening shoes. Shoes should also support the ankle against lifting and rough terrain. 
 In addition, the shoes must be non-slip and have no markings on the soles. 
 Blue jeans are allowed. 
 There is no tearing or thread dripping. Must be faithful to size. 

 No tight spandex pants or leggings. 
 Dress shorts are available during the summer. For example, shorts that can be worn on a golf course. (May-September) 
 Collared shirt only. Please refrain from 
 T-shirts. Women: At EMTS, you can use collarless shirts and blouses that don't look or look like T-shirts. Summer dresses are only allowed in lectures, but should not be exposed. 

 Trousers or shorts If they have a belt loop, you need to wear a belt and push the shirt in. If a gown comes from a job that requires it and you cannot change clothes before class, an exception will be made at the discretion of the coordinator. 
 If you need a company uniform and have a job that you cannot change before class, an exception will be made at the discretion of the coordinator. For the fire brigade, service uniforms can be worn in class.  (without T-shirt) 
 There are no ball caps or cowboy hats, Including firefighting caps. 

No excessive earrings. This applies to both men and women. 

 Hair / Facial Hair is in good condition and tidy. The coordinator may ask you to cover the visible tattoos. If it is aggressive or rude, it needs to be covered. This only covers the classroom dress code. 

 It is important to point out that unified regulations on hospital and fire internships are stricter. 
 For example, men do not have ponytails or dumplings. 
 Many firefighting internship locations allow established, well-maintained / well-maintained mustaches and/or beards as long as they do not interfere with patient care/safety PPE equipment. 
 But if you need it for a fire internship, you should be willing to shave.

 If a  dress code violation is detected, students will be allowed to be absent for 2 hours per incident. If the 
 breach constitutes a safety issue, or if the clothing chosen is destructive, offensive, and/or blatant, the student will be required to leave and return inappropriate clothing. 

 In addition, students will be marked as absent if they are absent beyond the first two hours penalty. In the second breach, the student will be marked absent as described above and will have to leave the premises and return to uniform for the rest of the program.
