Where there’s an internet connection, there’s money to be made. Fiverr, Upwork, leggiit etc has helped countless college students find their first online jobs and freelance gigs, and now it’s your turn to start making money on the platform too! Here are 9 useful Fiverr skills that every college student should know to help them make some cash while they work towards their degrees:
Working online as a college student is a good alternative to applying for students loan. Writing student Loan application may sound as the only way of financing your education, but repayment is a Very hard mission. In 2011, the president of United States made a forgiveness of $10000 to every students in the state. This shows the amount of debit student are owning.
Since, it's not every students that can gain this opportunity I have made a list of 9 online tasks you can do in order to financial support your education. These tasks are very flexible, you can do it at your schedule while studying and fighting for your grades or degree. But before I dive into it, if you feel like doing any task would be a waste of time, try dropservicing
1) Become a Digital Assistant
You may not have heard of digital assistants, but you’ve likely interacted with them. They’re called influencers on Instagram, guest posters for a variety of blogs and platforms, and contributors for sites like BuzzFeed and HuffPost.
As much as $3,000 per post isn’t uncommon for many influencers who are building their audience and looking to monetize it. Before they become famous as these types of social media personalities, many college students (and plenty of individuals with full-time jobs) start out being digital assistants or work with small agencies that provide such services; there’s money in writing social media content or managing an Instagram account—if you can build an audience that loves what you do.
Becoming a personal assistant on fiverr and you will be writing social media content for companies. Some of these gigs are paid around $5-$7 for a single post. It takes time and practice to become a great writer, but once you do, there is money to be made in it from our previous example! If a company needs help managing their social media accounts, some will hire a personal assistant on fiverr for $5-7 per post.
Once you are good at that too then you have real ways to make money online!
As we mentioned earlier each of these opportunities provide value in two very different ways so its important that whichever method(s) fit your personality and needs, don’t limit yourself by only pursuing one option!
2) Create Greeting Cards
Creating cards on Fiverr is an excellent way to make money as a student. If you already have skills creating greeting cards, or want to learn these skills for Fiverr, it’s important to understand that there are certain types of cards that sell better than others.
Because Christmas and Valentine’s Day are popular holidays, Christmas-themed and holiday-themed greeting cards tend to be some of the most requested on Fiverr. The same goes for other occasions like birthdays, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
To start creating greeting cards, first visit your Gigs tab on your dashboard. Here you can see all of your current and available gigs, along with relevant information about each one. You can create a new gig by clicking Create Gig at the top of your dashboard.
When creating a new gig, make sure you have filled out as much information as possible because potential customers will use it when searching for someone to create their greeting card. This includes title, description and tags (the most important one being greeting card design).
Remember that if you want to make money on Fiverr it is important that you always read reviews and follow guidelines exactly so that customers are happy with what they receive.
3) Become a Data Entry Worker
Fiverr is one of my favorite sites to make money online as a college student, since there are several gigs on Fiverr that pay above market rates and you can actually start making money right away. One of those jobs is data entry (which isn’t exactly exciting work) but sometimes boring work needs to be done.
It’s perfect for a college student because it’s simple and easy with low entry requirements. You simply need basic typing skills and access to a computer – so long as your keyboard works, then you are set! The great thing about these gigs on Fiverr is that they are repeatable income sources – so once you set them up, you can keep getting money for them over and over again.
4) Create Song Covers
The internet loves original music, but also enjoys covers of popular songs. Covering a popular song can be a great way to start making money online. In some cases, you may find that there is already an existing market for your own unique twist on a familiar song.
If you’re able to make well-regarded covers and provide users with consistent content in your niche, you might have a good ear for business. Look at how other artists are doing it and figure out what they did right—and perhaps more importantly—what they did wrong when it comes to capturing their audience’s attention and making money off of them.
Have you ever considered creating a music cover for musicians and earn money to finance your education? While it may sound like an elaborate dream, one only needs passion, good skills, and creativity in order to make it happen.
If you think that you’re cut out for being a musician and are also creative enough then why not give yourself a try? Not only will you get great exposure if your talent is recognized but at times, students can also make lucrative cash through creating song covers. If done right, which is discussed below, students can also have a good time doing it!
5) Try Video Editing Services
Fiverr is a unique marketplace where student can start video editing gig. Video editing and graphics design skills are in high demand on Fiverr and people use it for job hunting and portfolio building. This is a great way to support your education financially.
There are many people on Fiverr who look for video editing services, so you can make money there. You can do it by giving your services. It is a great way to financially support your education and build up your portfolio at the same time. Now students get an opportunity to work online while they are studying with their full attention towards academics.
6) Try copy Writing Service
High quality copy writing is expensive. Online marketers need high quality contents on their websites to promote sales and entertain their readers.
some sites offer that service, there’s a reason why it comes at such a high price: plagiarism and low quality writing, are the most common cause while people pay high for quality contents. One of my favorite sites is called Upwork. thousands of people are looking forward quality contents writers and they're willing to pay.
It is known as the world’s largest freelancing marketplace where thousands of businesses hire freelancers every day to do everything from graphic design to content creation and much more. A lot of people don’t realize that there are tons of opportunities on Upwork specifically for college students!
You can make money on Upwork by searching for gigs that appeal to you, clicking propose and then submitting a proposal outlining what you can do. You will then be invited to complete an application with your resume and samples of your previous work.
If accepted, you’ll create a profile page and begin doing work! Although it may seem like there are tons of students trying to sell their services on Upwork, keep in mind that there are thousands of businesses who post jobs every day and new postings appear daily so there are plenty of opportunities. This is a good money making opportunities for students to become financially stable instead applying for loan with high interest rate.
7) Sell Photography or Videography Services
If you have a talent for taking pictures, you can start selling photos or videos of special events. Start by giving local families a deal—your services for free, in exchange for something like their child’s first homecoming or birthday.
You can also ask around your university’s journalism department and see if there are any organizations looking for interns. If you’re still in school and don’t have a portfolio, sites like Coroflot and Behance will let you display your work while they build a profile page to showcase your credentials. The more experience you get under your belt (or in front of your lens), the more likely someone will pay top dollar for it.
Taking pictures at events can be fun and rewarding—plus, getting paid for doing it is a bonus. Consider starting out by volunteering for special events like local graduations or fundraisers.
Offer up your services for free in exchange for guaranteed shots that you can use in your portfolio or website. You might even be able to get some good marketing photos done of products if you volunteer with organizations that produce catalogs of their work.
Or check with local arts schools or journalism departments—they may need volunteers too! Once you have a few pictures under your belt, consider setting up an online portfolio page where people can hire you based on your experience and unique style. This way you won’t have to depend on referrals alone, which will help increase your business over time.
8) Share Your Knowledge with Others by Creating ials on Youtube
If you love creating videos, Fiverr is a great place for you. Many Fiverr sellers make money not only by selling gigs, but also by sharing their knowledge with others through tutorials and reviews on YouTube. Whether it’s creating how-to videos or product reviews, YouTube is a great way to generate more income from your Fiverr business!
9) Share Your Expertise on Squidoo (now hubpages)
Squidoo is a social networking website where users can create and share their own blogs. Squidoo users can interact with other bloggers by leaving comments, rating and rating other blogs, and following other bloggers. Squidoo also offers users the ability to create their own groups, which allows them to connect with other bloggers with similar interests.
There are a few ways that you can make money through Squidoo. One way is to create a Squidoo lens about a topic that you are knowledgeable about and then sell advertising space on the lens.
You can also sell products and services through your Squidoo account. You can also create and sell eBooks through Squidoo.
